Important reminders about your YMCA Youth and Government event registration:

Thanks for registering for this year's YMCA Youth and Government program. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Your draft measures are due by January 5 in order for the program committee to get Pre-Leg planned.  It can be very brief, with plenty of time to work on it at Pre-Leg.  Upload your measures at this link. Final measures will not be due until January 31. 

Pre-Leg is Saturday, Jan. 13 from 10 am - 5:30 pm at West Salem High School, 1776 Titan Drive, NW, Salem, Oregon. All delegates, press corps members, and advisors are to attend.  Some healthy snacks and pizza will be provided for lunch, but you are welcome to bring your own lunch and beverages.  It will be a closed campus, so no one may leave Pre-Leg to get lunch or beverages. 

Interested in running for office? Attend our virtual Candidate Forum on January 3rd, 7-8 pm to learn more about officer positions and to get your questions answered. Zoom Link  Learn more about these positions, their requirements, and job description here. Declare for office and fill out your voter guide information here.

All officer-related forms are due January 10th. Be sure to familiarize yourself with our election rules as well.

The 78th Legislative session will be held February 22-24 in Salem, Oregon.  We will be using Willamette University, the Withnell Family YMCA, and be lodging at the Holman Hotel in Downtown Salem.  Watch your email and the conference website for the details.

All balances were to be paid by December 31, 2023.  If you need more time, or financial assistance, please contact me at marisa@oregonymcas.org.  

Shop for YAG SWAG in our new SWAG SHOP.  All registrants and advisors receive a $15 credit to apply to all purchases.  Note that some items carry the Oregon House carpet pattern and others the Oregon Senate carpet pattern.  If you want to wait until Pre-Leg to make your selection, that is fine, but the deadline for placing your order is January 17, 2024. Use this code: OREGON.Y.15 to have $15 credit applied to your order.  All purchases will be shipped to the Conference site, where you will pick them up when you sign in.
